The Discord Altar
“Being a person isn’t easy, whether you have a place to sleep or not.”
The script for The Discord Altar was inspired by interviews with people affected by and/or working within the homeless community. The cast of seven operatically trained singing-actors presented 12 full-staged performances with the musical score newly improvised each night.
At the conclusion of each performance there was a talk back with directors of homeless shelters and advocacy organizations around the greater Los Angeles area.
